Swenson Upfits


Founded in 1937 by Eskil Swenson in northern Illinois, Swenson began with agricultural spreaders and became known for its Chain Drive Spreader. The company moved to Lindenwood, Illinois, in 1939 and introduced its first hydraulic spreader in 1962. Swenson pioneered controlled spreading in 1967, improving efficiency in winter road maintenance. After several acquisitions, Swenson joined the Aebi-Schmidt Holding Group in 2015. Today, Swenson continues to innovate in snow and ice control equipment, manufacturing in Lindenwood with advanced technology and a legacy of over 75 years of excellence.
